Coordinates entered in calculators
Solar eclipse circumstances depend on location, so the tools accept latitude and longitude. In the current site, coordinates typed into the calculator are processed by browser-side code to display the result. There is no account field, itinerary database or location-history feature attached to those inputs.
You do not need to enter a home address. A nearby public coordinate is usually enough for early planning, and you can use the exact observing coordinate later.
Using “Use my current location”
If you choose the live-location option, your browser or device asks for permission before returning latitude and longitude. Eclipse Wayfinder uses those coordinates to fill the calculator fields. Denying permission does not block the tool; manual coordinate entry remains available.
Your browser, operating system and location provider may process location information under their own privacy policies. The current Eclipse Wayfinder code does not set a first-party cookie or browser-storage record to create a location history.
Normal website request data
Like other websites delivered through internet infrastructure, requests can contain technical information such as an IP address, browser details, requested URL and security-related metadata. Eclipse Wayfinder is served through Cloudflare infrastructure, which may process technical request data for delivery, reliability and security under its own policies.

Email correspondence
If you email contact@eclipsewayfinder.com, your message necessarily contains information supplied by you, such as your email address, message content and normal email headers. That information may pass through email-routing and mailbox providers and may be retained as needed to read, answer, document or resolve the message.
Do not include passwords, payment-card information, passport details or other unnecessary sensitive information in a support email.
Accounts, analytics, advertising and forms
The current site does not provide user accounts or an on-site contact form. The current repository also does not include a first-party analytics script, advertising script or affiliate tracking script. If any of those services are added, this policy should be revised before the new data flow is treated as active.
External websites
Eclipse Wayfinder links to external scientific, safety, geographic and travel-related sources. Following one of those links takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices. External links do not mean Eclipse Wayfinder controls how that service handles data.
